Saint Michael the Archangel

Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of Boston.  Hudson, Massachusetts

Welcome!

Welcome to Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Hudson, Massachusetts.  Saint Michael the Archangel Parish has been the home of Catholics in Hudson since 1876, soon to be 150 years!

Please take a few moments to explore the many aspects of this site to familiarize yourself with our parish. Most importantly, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly and let us know how we can help you.  All of us are here to serve God by serving you. Thank you for allowing us the privilege of doing that.

Finally, please join our family of parishioners for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on the weekends. It is around the altar of the Lord that we find our fullest expression of brothers and sisters, united in the one sacrifice offered by the Lord Himself.

"Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time…It includes three degrees of order: episcopate, presbyterate, and diaconate." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1536).

Bishops, priests and deacons are essential to the Catholic Church because we believe that they continue the work begun by the apostles.

Most Reverend Richard G. Henning, S.T.D

Archbishop of Boston

The Archdiocese of Boston is the fourth largest archdiocese in the United States and is the spiritual home for more than 1.8 million Catholics.

Until October 2024, Cardinal Seán P. O'Malley, OFM Cap., led the Archdiocese through unprecedented events with a focus on healing and rebuilding the local Church.

In August 2024, His Holiness Pope Francis named Archbishop Richard Henning, S.T.D. (Sacred Theologiae Doctor, "Doctor of Sacred Theology") as Cardinal O'Malley's successor. He was installed on October 31, 2024.

The teaching authority of the Church comes from Christ himself, who extended this authority to Saint Peter and the Apostles; they, in turn, have passed it down through Apostolic Succession to the Popes and bishops of every age.
