March 25, 2012

Last Sunday about 60 people gathered in the upstairs Church to hear about the Archdiocesan proposal for the
Pastoral Planning 2012 initiative and to offer valuable feedback for the Planning Committee. To repeat, the plan is not to close any parishes but to restructure the way that people’s needs in those parishes are served. It has been emphasized over and over that at this point the feedback from all of you who make up the Church is vitally important to the planning efforts.
This meeting was so full that it was difficult to contain within the hour and a half limit; hence we plan to have another meeting once Holy Week and Easter are over. We encourage as many as possible to come and to share your opinions with us at this meeting. Change is never easy but we do need to make some adaptation in the future as the number of priests, pastoral ministers, and Church goers shrinks dramatically.
