Once again,
thank you for your overwhelming generosity as we approach our $150,000 fundraising goal! Every donation is wholeheartedly appreciated.
As I write this column, the weather prediction for today is 85 degrees. As someone said last weekend, now that the snow is gone we’ll begin complaining about the heat!!! But seriously it is nice to see the sun and feel the warmth. After Masses on Sunday, Abby couldn’t wait to get outside and sit in the warm sun!
This weekend, Fr. Peter Devlin is scheduled to arrive from Ireland and be with us for the month until June 5th! He is somewhat early this year. He decides his time with us around his own busy schedule in his Dublin parish. Fr. Peter loves the warm weather and the sunshine he usually enjoys while he is here. I was afraid it might still be cold when he arrived but let’s hope this warm weather remains! Welcome Fr. Peter!
On another note, I want to call your attention to the rack of pamphlets in the rear left vestibule of the upper and lower churches. These are called Care Notes. Each small pamphlet addresses various experiences in life and offers helpful support and ways get through.
It has been brought to my attention by the person who takes care of them that very few are ever taken or read. I would encourage you to take a look at them and to utilize this helpful resource.
Finally, as we celebrate this Mother’s Day weekend, we bring all mothers and all women who offer motherly care both living, and for those who have passed, in prayer before God. We are thankful for their generosity and love, and ask God to watch over them and bring them His Blessings.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!
