Once again, I want to express my deep appreciation for your ongoing generosity for the Church Panting fund. I am sure that as you read this, we will have well surpassed the $100,000 mark. We are three quarters of the way!! There are many who we reached out to that have not made their donation or pledge and we are still in need of $50,000 to complete the outside restoration of our church. Please consider your donation, whatever the amount.
This weekend as we celebrate Memorial Day, it is the unofficial beginning of summer. The weather has certainly been warm summerlike. A few months ago that was a far flung dream!
Don’t forget our Annual Memorial Day Mass at St. Michael’s cemetery on
Monday, May 25th at 9:00am. Over the years that I have been in Hudson, this is one of the highlights of each year. Every year I spend many hours in this cemetery, praying with mourning families as they say goodbye to loved ones. It is such a privileged time in ministry to share deeply in these moments. It is likewise a privilege to celebrate this memorial Mass for all those who are buried in St. Michael’s. May they rest in the loving embrace of their God.
On another note, thanks to Fr. Peter, I will be away next weekend, taking some vacation time south of here! Abby will be visiting with our maintenance man Francisco and his family. Since he lives on Cross Street, Abby can spend time both at the parish center and in the rectory as she wishes. Her adaptability frees me to enjoy my time away without worrying about her. My thanks to Francisco and his family for caring for her.
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!
