FR. RON’S RAMBLINGS
This weekend we not only celebrate our parish picnic we also say goodbye to Fr. William who has been with us all summer. His presence and his kind, giving manner have enhanced our parish and his ministry has been welcomed by many.
Personally, I have found him to be a sensitive and caring companion throughout these weeks. He steps right in and helps around the house, cleaning up the kitchen and making sure things stay in place (my fetish!!). He has generously and willingly given me coverage for my time away, and even took over watching Abby. They have become good friends. Each morning Fr. William says hello to me first and then asks Abby how is she doing!
Last weekend we took up a special collection for the SMA fathers, as we do each summer, If you were not here or unable to contribute, we will gladly take any further donations and forward them to them. This collection becomes an important source of support for both their religious order and a percentage goes to Fr. William’s ministry in Africa.
A special thanks to all of you who have made him feel at home and welcome in Hudson. Word has it that St. Michael’s is THE place to go when you are coming from Africa for the summer! So many people come forward and they go so many places, their summer is not just working in ministry but also getting to see the Boston area and experiencing American hospitality.
We wish Fr. William well and Godspeed as he returns to Africa and his ministry!
